Criminal gangs are using an anti-smuggling law to force members of the public to take the drug, a U. S. court has found.
The U. District Court for the Eastern District of New York said a joint federal and state law enforcement team will be able to arrest people who buy Viagra or other similar drugs from the web-based website. The drugs will also be confiscated and may be made available to the public.
Authorities said the U. Attorney’s Office had launched an investigation into the online sale of drugs.
